Okay...egg on face. When you have a bunch of artists running an event, trying to paint and organize things...some things can slip through the cracks.

A major thing that slipped through the cracks was our "Best of Show" from last year: Anette Power.
She is such an incredible artist (and a lot of fun!) Anette isn't painting with us this year - an opportunity came up for her that she couldn't resist, but we hope she joins us next year!

Join us at an artist reception at DA Davidson Saturday, October 4, 2017 from 3 - 5 pm to find out who will win Best of Show for 2017. Also, vote for People's Choice from our Quick Draw competition last Sunday.

Robert Impellizzeri "On Golden Cliffs" 1st Place, Ventura Plein Air Invitational It's been a hectic and fun week for the Ventura Plein Air Invitational painters - painting at different locations for the week, camaraderie, and yesterday, a fantastic lunch with all including juror Dan Schultz . Today, you can meet the artists during Artwalk Ventura from 3 - 5 pm at DA Davidson located at 60 S. California St. All day today and tomorrow until 3 pm, the public is invited to vote for their favorite "Quick Draw" painting. Tomorrow at 3 pm, the artist with the most votes will win the Quick Draw competition, In addition, the artists themselves will vote for Artists Choice award which will also be awarded at 3 pm. If you can't make it to either event, you can still check out the exhibit through December 1 at DA Davidson. A special thanks to all our sponsors - they made our event extra special!
